More Mims

Mims is pretty much holding herself up until she falls over these days. Usually the fall is followed by a laugh. Then we start the entire process over again.

Ok, this picture needs a little explaining. Can you believe that Leighton would wear those earrings out in public? Talk about wanting to get all the attention in the room.


This picture pretty much tells the story itself but I, Robert (who is finally getting a turn to post on the blog) will explain it a little further. Mims's Grandmama got a little carried away while shopping and ended up buying her this hat. While strolling through the square right after putting the hat on for the first time a wild albino peacock attacked Mims. The peacock is now in captivity and although Mims was a little startled she is doing fine.

Another week

Another week has gone by and Mims is already past her 12th birthday. She is on Spring Break this week with some friends in Destin. She gets her braces off next month and is ready to get her ears pierced. She has straight A's in school and is already talking about what kind of car she wants when she turns 16. She is begging for us to take her and some friends to Hannah Montana in Memphis this summer. Okay...so she is not growing up quite that quick but it seems that way most of the time.

Mims on her first set of real food, or real baby food at least. She started out on Peas. I would not say there are her favorite but she did get them down.

The Neely's came up for a visit earlier this week. We all sat outside, enjoyed the weather and watched Rob practice his best fish face for Robert.

This is Embarrassing

How embarrassing. Mims showed up to yesterdays party (daycare) wearing pretty much the same outfit from famed designer Tea Collection as her friend Parker. Luckily this snafu did not seem to bother them much at all.

Had a big weekend

Mims had her grandfather in town, went to 2 baseball games, 1 tennis match and a crawfish boil among other festivities...

Mims stopped to smell the flowers on the way to the baseball game Saturday.

This is Mims at her second baseball game of the weekend. Although the Rebels had already sent 15 runners past home plate she was a still a little upset with the umpire, but it is useless to argue balls and strikes.


Here is Mims sporting a newly found outfit that her cousin Meredith handed down to her. If there is a green berry out there, I am pretty sure this is what it looks like.

Here she is Saturday morning waiting for the day to get going.

Mims finishes up a big bowl of rice cereal. Plans are in the works to upgrade to fruits and vegtables next week.

Welcome Little Mims

Mims was welcomed into the Church Sunday. Lots of friends and family were there for the special occasion. She was wearing a dress that has been in the family for close to 100 years. She seemed to enjoy every minute. Rev. John Case, the minister that baptised Robert, was even there to help with the ceremony.
