and the streak continues

Mims attended her first Ole Miss basketball game last night and what happens...the Rebels pull off an upset win over the Wildcats of Kentucky. It looks like the dominance of Rebels athletics over opponents while Mims is present extends from Football to basketball.

Mims and Robert share a seat

Mims had a visitor from down the street over last night. The Neely's were out celebrating Margaret's birthday and we took care of Robert for a while. Mims was happy to share her bouncy seat with Robert. Robert was ready for Mims to get out so he could finish his yawn and take a quick nap. This kind of close contact will be cut out once they are old enough to know better.

Growing up

Mims had a good week and a good weekend so far. She is standing more and more each day.



And after standing she likes sitting up.

Family filled Weekend

Mims had a family filled weekend. She got some new boots from her Grandmother, spent most of the weekend with her Uncle and got to spend Saturday afternoon with her Grandfather.

Cold in Oxford

It was something like 9 degrees in Oxford this morning but since Mims was cuddled up with her look alike doll she was not worried about the weather. They took off to daycare together.


Here we have Mims and Leighton after a long day at work this week. Mims is smiling because the photographer (her dad) is wearing his new spit-up stained shirt that Mims gave him for Christmas.

Mims

Mims put on her dress that her Aunt's Maggie and Laura gave her today. She wore it to church for the first time. She has her 3 month birthday coming up this week.

and this is an action shot from earlier this week. Robert is taking care of Mims, and Mims is trying to get Presley to take her for a ride around the den.

and Another First

Today was Mims first day of daycare. She was really excited. I am not sure if that says more about the daycare or about her parents, but either way she was really excited. She took her mobile for her crib and her favorite blanket. Dad was less than thrilled but he managed half of a smile for the camera and ended up making it through the day too.

Another First

Mims taught us a new trick on New Year's Day. She now rolls over all the time. Below is a video of her doing it again. Click play to watch it. She was 11 weeks old at her first roll.
