Happy Birthday Dada

The old man is now even older. So am I and so are you so don't think your not aging. But anyway, we had a party like you have never seen tonight. It was me, Mama, Presley and the guest of honor. We all had 6 cupcakes. After playing hide-n-go-seek about a dozen times I went to the the living room and threw on a movie while Mama and Dada went to work on dinner. Don't we look like we are having so much fun What a lovely day...now.

That was not the case 34 minutes into Dada's birthday. I woke up with the Croup right after midnight and had to head to the hospital. It was quit an ordeal. Happy Birthday Dada...let's wake up at 12:34 AM, scare you to death and spend a bunch of money.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

Anyway, back to dinner. They whipped up Steak Oscar...char grilled filet sandwiched in sourdough croutons with an asparagus/crab-meat mixture topped with a Red wine sauce and bearnaise on the side.

It was enjoyed.

This is all I got...

Two measly pictures of me pretty much doing nothing. That's all I got right now. It has been pretty calm since the snow so there is not too much to report. I have become a master at hide-and-go-seek, but obviously I don't have any pictures of that since you would never see me in any of the pictures...that's how good I am.

Hope things are going well on your side of the fence. I'll be back soon with some more pictures and a story about deer, a turtle and and a rabbit you will never believe.

Kids eat free on the weekends. Hard to beat.

This is what 2 ponies sitting on a cow looks like. Cute

A Post NOT about the Weather

All everyone has been talking about lately is the weather. If you like to see people go crazy just come to Oxford MS after the weather man says 6 to 8 inches of ice cream will be outside your window as far as you can see the next morning. If you have a really good sense of humor head down to your local Wal-mart just to observe. So anyway, enough about the weather.

Mama and myself Sunday. Not to talk about the weather, but it was cold Sunday.

And here I am with Dada. Hey look, is that my Christmas card picture in the background? Want a closer look? See below. Not to talk about the weather but it was sort of breeze Sunday.

Front

Back

So back to the weather. It started to snow Sunday night.

When I got up it was pretty much everywhere.

Naturally, I put on 12 layers of cloths and go ready for the day.

Here is what I found.

It was everywhere...up to my knees.

It was also up to Dada's ankles. We lost Presley for a solid half hour. It ended up that he was just in the side yard making snow angels the whole time.

Can you spot Presley in this picture?

Here is Frostette before we put her Pea Coat on her.

Jimmy decided to build a snow man of his own, he and his snow man obviously don't suffer from Acrophobia -- (from the Greek: ἄκρον, ákron , meaning "peak, summit, edge" and φόβος, phóbos, "fear") is an extreme or irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort that share both similar etiology and options for treatment. "Vertigo" is often used (incorrectly) to describe a fear of heights, but it is more accurately a spinning sensation that occurs when one is not actually spinning.)

Denson is putting on the finishing touches

When your gloves get wet what do you do? Steal Mama's of course. Which she stole from Dada.

Faulkner is such a jokster. He wore that hat all day.

Frostette fell down since Dada does not understand gravity so we had to build "a daddy snowman, a mama snowman a baby snowman and a Presley dog."

Poor Presley snowdog did not get as much attention as everyone else.

I hope everyone enjoyed the snow, had a good laugh at Wal-mart and stayed warm.

Big Girl...Big Bed

Well folks, another milestone for yours truly. I have now graduated from my crib to a bed that could fit 4 of me in it. In fact, last night it fit 4 owls, 1 pillow, 2 pillow pets, a partridge, a pear tree and me! There are actually 2 beds, but I only use 1 at a time. Last night 2 hours after going to bed I finally went to bed. It was really too exciting.

Here is baby owl number uno. Small in stature yet big in comfort.

My first introduction to everyone.

The bedtime crew.

The first slip under the sheets.

Here is my one of the last pictures of my room before the transformation. Fully equipped with my books, my slide pillow pets, etc.

Finally, in unrelated news...Presley, who recently got an unauthorized facebook page, sometimes has hygiene issues that must be addressed before entrance is authorized.
