Summer Fun

Hello fans. I am back from my mid-summer hiatias. It has been a good summer thus far and we still have much more to go but let me get you up to speed on what I have been up to lately.

This was my get'up for the 4th of July parade at my school. I am giving it a test drive before the big day.

I have made my way to a pool or two during the hiatias. I am checking out the hot tub.

Here is Dada with Turt the turtle. They are inseparable.

Presley is pretty dog gone happy in this pic. Shortly after he curled up with himself and took his 14th nap of the day.

Here are three tired pups. Most of us had been swimming and that just tires you out.

Headed to the 4th of July parade with Mama.

Got tired of walking so now I am headed to the parade with Dada...in his arms. He loves carrying about 30 pounds of wiggle when it is 95 degrees for 30 minutes stretches.

A couple of weeks after celebrating the nations birthday I helped celebrate Luly's birthday. That's her in the green ring next to madam Mims.

I prefer a pink ring. In fact it is terribly difficult to get me in a pool without it.

Dada stopped by and had some pizza with me at the party. He has a long neck.

Ok, I got dressed after a long Saturday morning of playing in my fort. It was long toppled by the time the camera came out. Time to go the farmer's market.

Nothing like dancing for the guys with instruments, hats and sunglasses. I don't know if they appreciate me blocking the tip bucket though.

Here is a picture of me in my hat and...

Here is a picture of Caldwell in her Dora the Explora Fedora. Say that 3 times fast.

Mere Mere and Spiders

Quick update from the days of my lives. I had some family in town this weekend. Mere Mere and Eli came to town with Hope and Gerry for some baseball and to celebrate Gerry's birthday. Eli's team was playing at FNC Park and Gerry jumps at any chance to get to Oxford so it was a good time had by all. Aunt Sissy also came in town to play with me. Top that off with getting to celebrate Liza and Nelson's birthdays at Mike's house and Alma coming to visit makes for a great weekend.

Mere Mere and I played at the pool several times and also played in the back yard.

Presley stayed way out in the yard. Want to know why...

Because Ricky was on the back porch eating bugs. Ricky likes to hang out by the grill on the back patio and eat bugs, dogs and people.

Update: RIP Ricky April 7, 2011 - June 28, 2011

RIP Ricky's children June 27 - June 28, 2011

Sorry

Sorry, I have not been busy so that is not an excuse I will be using about not posting any new pictures or stories. But my dog ate my computer so it has been difficult.

Besides getting slung down a set of stairs and then immediately taking a nap the only thing I have been up to is being a Princess in another Princess's wedding.

The design and the designer of my dress was kept a secret until the day of the wedding. We even had a couple of alternate dresses that we leaked to the media just to throw them off the trail.

We ended up going with a designer from the mid Southern region of Mississippi.

This undergarment was also designed especially for this occasion. Silk worms were flown in from the India and have been producing silk for this gown for 2 years.

I was not only the flower girl, but I was the musical entertainment.

Look for this picture to be on the cover of an antique door magazine soon.

Final practice before the big moment.

Remember...no matter how busy you get don't forget to stop and smell the Princess's roses.

Dada has also been working on some modeling. He calls this look Blue Steal. I call my look Forehead Only.

Here is a more traditional pose.

Tub time.

Nap time.

See you folks soon.

Its has been a Long Time

It has been a long time since we last spoke, but it is good to see you again. We have been staying busy in Oxford, but just with the normal, not really worth reporting, parts of life. Of course there were some highlights along the way so I listed them below.

This is your standard run of the mill great picture of me. Sunlight beaming through my hair, Spring dress on and Presley eating a treat trying to get in my way.

See my bird feeder? It's right up there hanging on my bird feed holder pole. I made it out of some peanut butter and a pine cone. My neighbor Robert made one with me. I hope his has attracted more birds than mine has.

Another picture of yours truly.

Here I am with Mama on Mother's day morning. Check out the flowers in the background. Those flowers along with a wide range of other gifts any mother would love are brought to you by Oxford Floral. Locally owned and operated, Oxford Floral is your local place for stuff!

Check me out in my bear hunt gear. I went on a Bear hunt with the rest of my classmates today for the end of year pageant at my school.

Happy Easter Everybody

Happy Easter from your favorite miniature blogger. I hope your Easter was as wonderful as mine. The Bun came to see me, which was a nice treat, but just spending time with Mama and Dada was the best treat of all.

Here we are after the 1st hunt of the day, but before Church.

Here I am during the second hunt, and after church. The 2nd hunt was at Ms Katie and Mr David's house. We had a great time. I had to strip down to my skivvies after church, if you were wondering what I am wearing.

Mr. David has many talents and you can add Easter egg dye professional to that list. He made the 2 dozen of the best looking eggs east of Batesville.

Me and Mama made a house for my cricket today on the sand side of my sand/water table.

Jump back in time to Saturday at the neighborhood Easter egg hunt. I ate fruit off of a stick while Jackson munched on a cupcake. Ms. Jackson was helping us out.

Jackson's dad, Mr. Corey saved me from the Easter bunny Saturday. He is always there in a pickle.

Waiting to start the hunt. I was moved up to a new division at this hunt this year so I had be focused.

On the move

Here I am checking in with Cecilia. She had a good hunt as well.

But guess who had the best time of them all. That's right 3 time dad and the guy that's always there with a camera, a camcorder and timely financial advice, Mr. Chuck Sherman.

Rewind one more time to Thursday. We had to have the hunt in the gym due to inclement weather but that did not keep me down.

Here I am with about a dozen bozos and my BFF Heather. We do our best to keep all these guys straight.

Hope everyone has a good week.

The great Egg Hunts of 2011

It is Easter Egg hunt week here in Oxford. I started Sunday with a pre-hunt before Church to make sure I was ready to go this week. The last thing you want it is to pull a hamstring or mistake an Easter egg for a pine cone during a live hunt so it is always best to practice. Including my pre-hunt i think I will participate in 6 hunts.

You can see the excitement on my face about egg hunting season. It only lasts a week in Mississippi so you need to take advantage each day.

Where or where are you?

We interrupt this hunt for a picture. Oh joy!

A successful hunt. Found the eggs and 1 cricket.

After church we head to the official first hunt of the season.

I traded in my decorative basket for my utility basket for this hunt. Sometimes looking cute is not as important bringing in a big haul.

I pretty much ran the show at the O-UUMC hunt. This was a good year for me because I was pretty much the oldest person in my section. I was a seasoned pro compared to some of the newbies in my category so I gathered my dozen in record time. Now next year will be a different story when I move into the 3-5 year old category.

When you gather your quota in record time you have the luxury of surveying your area for better eggs. This is called a swoop and swap. You swoop in and swap your egg filled with bubble gum and trade it for the starburst filled egg.

Showing off my eggs.

Mama

Look at his pretty tree branch.

Dada is showing me the bees. These things were huge and not playing around. Or where they playing around? I don't speak bee so I am not real sure.

From the hunt we went to the baseball game. Good to get an SEC sweep.

Back to an out of place Easter egg hunt picture.

Time to take the field and run the bases.

Look at me back there...running the bases. I love a Sunday run on the bases.

I passed this poor boy about 3 times.

Hey Ole Miss Diamond girl. No time to wave, I'm on a mission.

Woops, I got called out because Ole blue says I ran out of the base path.

Hope everyone has a good week.
